We stopped in for the first time while in town. We really enjoyed the food and the feel of the place. Just a classic burger stand type of feel, but they have a lot of options for food. Burgers were great, fries as well. The onion rings were done just right and the shakes were smooth and thick. We will be back for sure.

Wow I have no words for my first time trying this tonight. Ughhhh mazing. As heck. The atmosphere, the friendly people, the way everything is made is vintage style. I looooooooooooove x a trillion this place. I'm definitely going back. The food is wow wow wow and ice cream is fantastic. I love u guys ahhhh. ...!!!! oh and forgot to tell yall haha. There's a freaken monkey. A real monkey living in their hahaha. Update: 6 years later, hi so we went and got a few things and as usual they're still absolutely amazing, I seriously love their food. We ordered a lot and it took a few mins longer to get the food but homemade is best and you know it's made with love. We got their biggest burger this time and some other stuff we usually get. Great food, employee had an order of 6 milkshakes and during this time 6 people walked thru the door. She couldn't stop mixing the shakes to keep up with the people standing and waiting to order. It's ok to set the shake down and take an order. Mixing machine was incredibly slow, but being that this place sells so many milkshakes they either need an extra employee or faster equipment or an effective multitasker. Tables fit elementary students comfortably possibly some adults. The tables are too small and you bump knees with the people across from you. Plus the whole atmosphere is just uncomfortable when you're trying to eat your food and there's people piled in the doorway waiting to order. The food is wonderful however. Recommend the Hawaiian burger.

ALF’S is one of my favorite restaurants in McMinnville. We have been a few times now when visiting and it never disappoints. It’s family friendly and delicious. I didn’t get a photo but their onion rings are also perfection.

I grew up in this place, it's always been my favorite spot to chill and enjoy some delicious, home-style 50s-60s diner food! Okay, maybe I'm a little biased since I'm related to the owners, but seriously, the food is amazing! The food is always so so so Very delicious!!! We usually stop in after softball tournaments in Newberg and or softball clinics at Linfield. The food is worth the wait. The staff are always over worked and deserve a decent tip. They prepare only exceptional food fresh to your order. You must get a delicious shake... they are rich, thick, and creamy. 5 stars for food 4 for service , not bc it was not great they were just super busy but still making it excellent 4 for atmosphere bc they need a new monkey!!! Love this place!!! Come eat here!

Perfect flavors for everything, my chicken strips and French fries weren’t over salted or over cooked they both had the perfect crisp too them. My husband enjoyed his homemade patty melt and said not only was it perfectly cooked but the flavor was just right. The gals working today were both eager to assist and very friendly. You can’t beat the service or the food, especially at their prices! If you haven’t stopped off here it is HIGHLY recommended, they make all their Pattie’s by hand and their own ice cream! Come on down and give these girls a shout out!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!!!
